Breeding Services

Breeding Services for Pets

At our veterinary center, we offer a range of breeding services to help you achieve successful and healthy pregnancies for your dogs and cats. Our experienced team of veterinarians is equipped to provide comprehensive reproductive care, including Vaginal Cytology and Caesarian sections.

Vaginal Cytology

Vaginal Cytology is a standard test we use to enhance the success of pregnancy in female dogs. To perform this test, we take a swab of the vaginal cells of your pet and analyze them under a microscope. Usually, multiple swabs are needed. This analysis helps us determine the optimum time to breed your pet, which enhances the success of pregnancy.

Before your animal’s estrus cycle, we recommend additional health tests, including a thyroid analysis. These tests can rule out any potential health complications or alert you to issues that need to be addressed before breeding. Our veterinarians can offer support every step of the way, even if you’re just starting or are an experienced breeder. Please call today to set up an appointment to discuss how we can support your breeding program.

Our compassionate vets go to great lengths to ensure successful pregnancies and healthy newborns by providing comprehensive vet care personalized to each animal’s unique requirements.

Caesarian Section

While many animals give birth without any complications, some require medical intervention, such as a Caesarian Section. When medical therapy fails to solve delivery complications, we perform Caesarian Sections.

The mother is given an anesthetic and an incision made along her abdomen and uterus to retrieve unborn puppies or kittens in such circumstances. In some instances, our veterinarians will recommend spaying the mother during this procedure to prevent future problems of this nature.

We are committed to supporting the health of your pet every step of the way. Our veterinarians have years of experience with reproductive issues and even work in tandem with breeders. It all starts with an appointment – call today and set up a meeting with us to discuss any breeding concerns you may have.
