Dr. Kendrick, DVM

I graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 1988 after successfully completing the requirements for two Bachelor of Science degrees from A&M. My career began in El Paso in private practice and soon encompassed positions at the El Paso Zoo, the local Emergency Animal Clinic, and numerous part time relief positions with local veterinarians.

In 1991, I relocated to the metroplex and worked in several regional practices while growing a large and dedicated clientele with dogs, cats, birds, and exotic pets. In April of 2000, I accomplished my dream by opening Country Club Pet Hospital in Mansfield, Texas, where I have lived since March of 1994.

I have three cherished children. Amber graduated Texas A&M in May of 2018 with her DVM and two Masters degrees and accept a job in Tacoma, WA. Hannah graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville in December of 2016 and is finishing her Master’s Degree in Human Resources. Finally, our son Joshua graduated in May of 2018 from Texas A&M with his Business degree and has recently joined the Navy.

When I’m not working I enjoy fishing, woodworking, reading, and gardening, as well as caring for my dogs and cats. At last count that included: 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a green tree python.

Philosophically, I believe that veterinary medicine is a true partnership of the pet owner, pet, and myself. In order to provide the best care I can, I have equipped Country Club Pet Hospital with a full service blood chemistry lab, digital radiography, ultrasound, digital dental radiography, and dental capability. I also provide pain management/wound treatment laser therapy for appropriate cases.

I strongly believe that staying current is not just a requirement but absolutely necessary to provide optimal care for your pets. Though Texas requires 17 hours od CE per year, I average between 60-75 credit hours of continuing education annually toward that goal. CCPH is one of a very few practices in north Texas that has achieved certified Cat Friendly Practice status. I am a member of numerous national, state, and local veterinary organizations and I’m committed to assisting Mansfield Animal Care and Control to provide care for the pets looking for their forever homes.

Laurin, VA

I’ve lived in Texas my whole life but have enjoyed traveling to many places! My favorite travel destination is Yellowstone, the wild life and scenery are gorgeous. I graduated from Texas A&M University in May of 2018 with my bachelors in animal science. I have 4 fur babies, Blue, Dixie, Solomon, and Cappuccino. I started working at Country Club Pet Hospital as a kennel technician in August of 2018 and moved up to Vet Assistant in March of 2019. I enjoy working here because of the variety of situations I get to experience every day- I never know what is going to walk in the doors or what might happen! In my free time I like to travel (even just small get-aways), read, and binge-watch Netflix.

The first thing you’ll notice about me is that I’m from New York. I moved to Texas in 2008 with my family. I’ve been married to my husband Will for 16 years. We have a daughter named Sammi and a german shepherd mix named Max. I’m a huge Star Wars fan and love to cheer on my daughter at her soccer games in my free time. I joined the CCPH team in December of 2018 and have been loving every second! Seeing all the different animals is my favorite part.
